Our training consists of 16 hours of virtual training over two weeks, followed by supervised shifts. Our training is designed to equip you with the effective skills to necessary to support others, including empathetic and reflective listening, collaborative problem-solving, and active health planning.
Our training is vital to the work we do in providing mental health support to those in need. Our volunteers must be knowledgeable about the different mental health challenges that they will encounter, and they must be skilled in utilizing different techniques to effectively support diverse situations.
Our training is focused on teaching you approaches for providing support, managing difficult situations, regulating emotions, and instilling a sense of hope and empowerment in the lives of others. We believe these skills will help you provide the highest quality of compassionate care to those who reach out.
